Blogger Recognition Award

I am so excited to receive BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD from an established fellow blogger Pammy of Joyful Source. This is my first ever blogging award as I am fairly new to the blogging community. I am so proud of how far my new blog has come along in the past couple of years. I am so happy and I am deeply impressed as this is such a great way to connect with more and more readers across the globe.

Before I pass on this trophy from Pammy to my selection of nominees, as a part of receiving this award, I would have to follow certain rules.

There are a few rules that I do have to mention prior to accepting the award.

  • I have to thank the blogger who nominated me and provide a link to their blog.

  • I have to write a post to show the award.

  • I have to write a brief story of how my blog started.

  • I have to give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.

  • I have to select 15 other bloggers that I want to pass this award onto.

  • I also have to comment on each of the 15 blogs to let them know that I have nominated them and provide them the link to this post.

HOW MY BLOG STARTED: I had started my blog a couple years ago and originally it was to do with aromatherapy and using essential oils. Last Fall 2016 I became a student of the American College of Healthcare Sciences and I thought using my blog would be a great way to share what I am learning in regards to holistic health modalities. It was also a good platform to share my short papers that I was having to write for my classes. As a student, I find it important to share the knowledge that we are gaining from ACHS and promote holistic wellness and safe usage when it comes to aromatherapy, homeopathy, nutrition, and herbalism. I plan to continue blogging during my time as a student but also in the future after graduation.

MY ADVICE: 1. Definitely learn how SEO works. Whether from a mentor, an SEO Wizard through your blogging platform, or even from books. Those SEO keywords are important in gaining traffic to your blog. 2. Don't be too hard on yourself. It takes time to build up your blog. So always share what you have blogged about by posting on social media. There are many blogging groups you can also join on Facebook where you are allowed to share your blog posts and gain valuable feedback from other bloggers who are there to help each other.

So now for the drumroll.... This was a very tough decision to make since I could only chose 15! There is a tremendous amount of amazing bloggers out there!

So the recognition award goes to the following: (names are not in specific order) Now here are the list of my nominees.

1. Amy - Blossoms & Blends

2. Katie - My Sweet Home Life
